cranked up my Marshall JCM2000 last Friday afternoon to set mic pre levels for recording. I struck my first chord and pop! the sound instantly disappeared (no noise… nothing). The power was still on, so I figured it might be a tube issue.

I asked for the 24hr turn around ($50 extra) and Blackie followed through. I got my amp back tonight (one business day turnaround).

I went home and jammed with it in the studio, and it sounds great. Plus, Blackie offers a 90 day warranty on his repairs: I feel pretty comfortable with that in mind.

On top of that, Blackie is an incredibly personable guy; very gracious. He offered to clean the pots on my Les Paul for free if I wanted to stop by… My impression is that he is very professional, holds to a high standard of excellence, and is downright likable. I’m looking forward to doing business with him in the future.
